Membership and Management

Open Way currently has about 90 members. Included in the membership are those who
are ordained into the Core Community of the Order of Interbeing; a clerical ordination. However, only at retreats will you see large numbers of people. Other Open Way activities have considerably fewer participants so you won’t get lost in a crowd. Membership in Open Way is typically accomplished by practicing with Open Way for a period of time and completing a membership form. Members chose between full and affiliate membership as is appropriate to their situation. Open Way also welcomes many friends to our practice sessions who are not members; including those who may be primarily pursuing another spiritual tradition.

Open Way is managed by an elected group of members who meet as a Board. The Board makes business and program decisions and helps set our focus and direction for practice. If you want to help with the business and practical sides of the Sangha and retreats, come to the meetings and/or volunteer for one of the committees.
